Environmental Responsibility

The Recanto das Águas Resort & SPA has being showing compromise when the subject is Environment Liability. Known for its nature beauties, between the sea and the atlantic forest of Balneário Camboriú, the place has being trying to accomplish educational and cooperative activities with the society and the environment.

In this way, the Hotel Resort´s staff promotes a series of actions pointing a new and bigger conscience coming from their guests and staff, like the beach’s daily cleaning, recycling and garbage collect, transforming organic garbage in fertilizer for the plants, ozone and sewer treatment and plantation of native and fruitful trees.

Actions:

Plantation of trees: with the recreation’s team support, the children have the opportunity to accomplish the plantation of fruitful and native trees in a reserved place call Bosque Recanto Brasileiro. Each tree seeding will be baptized with the name of the child that planted it. Recycling: daily made the selective collect of garbage produced all over the hotel (guests, service and events).

Decomposition of garbage: made with rest of food providing fertilizer for the plants (used at the gardens and the kitchen gardens of the hotel).

The hotel resort is compromised with the environment and develops effective preservation actions and sustainability of the business and the ecosystem where is inserted. The EMS – Environmental

Management System, intends to make the Resort tenable at the environmental, economical and social points of view. Based on these 3 aspects that is thought the environmental management described below:

The following concepts guide the management system and the decision´s make:

Mission: To implement actions to match the touristic activity’s development and the social environment that we are insert.

Vision: To understand that our daily actions contribute with the improving of the environment and the social circle that we are insert.

Objectives: To diagnose, quantify, qualify, exemplify, solve and document all impacts, procedures, politics, actions, solutions, intending to give sustainability to the productive process of the Resort SPA.

Goals: To implant an economic system that searches for the materials and resources´ maximization, respecting the active social environment (quantification at the execution schedule).

Are fundamental parts of the system, rules, guidelines, procedures, documentation and actions that as soon as they are implemented will serve to accomplish the proposed goals.

  4. Classification of fauna and flora
  5. Recycling of saturated oil
  6. Use of recycle paper
  7. Environmental education with guests and their kids
  8. Environmental education searching for the recycling
  9. Eco-efficiency manual

Actions to be made in short time:

  • Recycling of virgin glass and plastic with no destination at the common recycling. Example: bottles of champagne, wine, one way and broken glasses.
  • Saturated oil collect around the resort and after de sale, for reuse or soap production for the Hotel´s internal consume and/or CSR (corporate social responsibility).
